Day 22 - Plastic Containers

Is this sad or what? I have had all these plastic containers out in my garage forever. In the past I've used some for freezing beans or tomatoes, but this is just excessive. I was also saving them because a close friend had an acquaintance who volunteered at a soup kitchen. Apparently the soup kitchen was always looking for containers like this to send leftovers with folks. So I saved them, and gave them to my friend, who then gave them to her acquaintance, who took them to the soup kitchen. Sound complicated? It was! Then my friend fell out of touch with her acquaintance and then my friend moved to Texas. So I guess I don't need these anymore!

  1. Sorry Katie I'm laughing because I too save containers that I feel guilty about getting rid of or think they'd be good for something! Sadly I have saved almost every baby formula container and the baby is almost a year old! I so need to take a lesson from you!

  2. Lisa, It did feel pretty good to toss those in the recycle bin. I'm realizing that just because something 'could' be useful down the road doesn't mean I have to keep it. I'm amazed how much stuff I've kept that's really just trash. Thanks for the post! So glad you're reading!
